Open Mic on Sundays in TinTins is sadly cancelled, effective immediately!
We (James and Jules) would like to thank everyone who has contributed to our Open Mic evenings.
Whether they were on Wednesdays or Sundays, it's been a real hoot, but recently it's become difficult to fill out the pub
and they do of course need to be making money to keep the event going.
Unfortunately, the highest management level (not Les, who has done everything he can to keep the event going)
has now decided to change the conditions to such an extent that it is no longer economically feasible for us to continue.
Both of us have invested a lot in equipment, which we both feel has provided some of the
best faciliities for budding musicians to come down and give it a go.
We have published many of the performances on Youtube under the Open Mic with James and Jules channel, which will continue,
but I will be using it in the future to publish videos I make from all kinds of music events held in and around the HSL area.
I (Jules) will be taking a break from running open mics, but James will be continuing as usual with Josh
at the Pig's open mic every Thursday.
